Suggestion - for colorimetry, it may be necessary to optically filter (colored glass, i.e.) the output of the LED for exact matching of your requirements
What that does to expense ???

Yeah- express delivery- I remember...
Had an order (not from Jameco) - told vendor to ship via ANYONE BUT [--].
Vendor used [--] anyway... 3 days later, it was refused to send them a real message... follow instructions or get it BACK.

This is Not a good idea for You, but those cruising thru this thread may be abled to use the SnapCircuits kits... for REAL simple circuit construction.<p>I gave up on RS kits when IC's filled 'em up.. can't really get to understand how a circuit works when it enters a 'black box' and miraculously do...

Commercially, strip heaters are used to bend along a line... similar to plumbing anti-freeze heaters, about 300 deg F.
