hot surface ignitor

Can anyone refer me to a source of information on hot surface ignitors? I'm interested in their construction and voltage - current requirements
also are they unit specific or are they interchangeable? thanks Paul

wireless headphones

I recently purchased a pair of wireless headphones that are 49 mhz. My wife who has a hearing problem doesn't like headphones to hear Direct TV channels. Is there a 49mhz receiver with speaker that could be set on the kitchen table to help her? Paul

Re: fluorescent lights in my "COLD" garage

Thanks Chris for answering my question.
Looking at an earlier topic you mentioned 6.3 volts, is this the voltage that the high frequency, square wave, and pulse type units modulate? Paul

Re: 110 v a.c. annunciator

Thanks Mr. K
for the suggestions but I really was looking for something that I could build. I have already gone the x-10 route and that didn't last too long and would prefer hard wire reliability. Paul

110 v a.c. annunciator

I would like to connect a ll0 v a.c. pleasant sounding alarm to a motion activated light. I don't want to use a door bell or chime unit. I would also like to have the alarm sound off once and then turn off even though the light continues on. Any ideas Thanks Paul
