Re: Lithium-ion Charging

Thanks all! Treating my paralleled 3 cells as one seems the way to go. I have one of these coming: http://www.ebay.com/itm/151998973264?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT It also allows one to measure the actual capacity of cells, in Amp Hrs. The popular 18650 Li-ion can be h...

Lithium-ion Charging

Tired of replacing gel cells in a few 12 VDC projects, so switching to Li-ion. 3 cells (18650- 4 AH) in parallel, and 4 of those banks in series gives the desired 14+ volts. What is the best way to charge this pack? Have heard each cell needs to be monitored and charged individually, but if I have 3...

Re: About Passwords!

Old story: New IT guy starts working at a big computer software security company. Boss comes by his cubicle to see how he's doing, and notices a Post-it note on his computer monitor that reads, "^)deK76!#-cc97+*". He asks the new guy what that is, and the guy replies, "That's my password, but not ex...

Must he have WiFi? Couldn't he use a wireless security camera/link? Some are long range, some have audio also.

Re: Hot Button!

I'm no programmer, but seems like a middle ground could be reached rather than, "Open all phone traffic to hacking" and "leave them all locked". I'd like to hear from the crytos/coders as to what's possible. Opinion- yeah, I think the Feds ought to be able to get into most everything, but with a sea...

Re: ICL7107 Volt meter question / issues

Again, this layout is for a double-ended supply: +, -, and ground. Where are you connecting the 9 volt battery? Is the neg of the battery going to V- in the schematic, or pin 21 (Ground)?
Also, where is the Ground of the LM34 connected?

Re: ICL7107 Volt meter question / issues

Would it be worthwhile to add a 5 volt regulator and a capacitor to use the "right side" circuit with your 9 volt battery?

Re: ICL7107 Volt meter question / issues

The left image is for a + and - voltage supply. If you're just using a 9 volt battery, go with the schematic on the right. (Single supply)
In that case, you set the pot to a 0.100 volt reference (Pin 36 to ground).

Re: Drone?

Hard to imagine an eagle not getting whacked by a blade during capture. The drone will do lots of throttling of its motors to maintain level, including flipping upside down. Feathers would fly!
