Re: Cell Phone QRM/QRN on a Computer Monitor

All the cell phones I have used make a wonderful "dit dit dit dit dit" sound during their cell search when placed near any radio, especially the automotive kind. The auto radios don't even have to be turned on! Yes, the transmit section really does a job on other electronics. A co-worker had problem...

Re: ProtoLab info

Thanks Dale! I did some additional research and foundthat most places selling it on line want $50 - $60 for it. Half price "aint" to bad. Some sites said Win95 to 2000, others said 3.1 - 2000. I just want to know if it is worth the effort to do small things like like audio stuff - amps, mixers etc.<...

ProtoLab info

I was at the local Rat Shack and saw a discontinued version of ProtoLab (4.0 I think) for $30. Does anyone have experience with this software? Yes, I know it is older (said something about Win95), but it should work with the type of stuff I like anyway. Pros and cons are welcome.<p>Thanks,<p>CeaSaR

Re: Making hydrogen from water & DC

There are plenty of open minds here, especially if corroborating evidence, theories or explanations can be shared for the enticement of discussion. When a person continually asks for some sort of confirmation and is given nothing more than the general run around via the use of sketchy promises and n...

Re: A pause in Visual Basic?

I use sleep when it doesn't matter if a keypress or other event stops the sleep timer. If I want a forced time delay, I'll use either method I described in my previous post. Just my preference. Use whatever method works best for your situation.<p>CeaSaR

Re: A pause in Visual Basic?

Look in VB's HELP file for TIMER. You should be able to find the necessary information there.<p>Of course you could use something like this (from QB4.5):<p>'code here T1$ = TIME$ T2 = 0 DO UNTIL T2 = 5 seconds1 = VAL(RIGHT$(T1$, 1)) seconds2 = VAL(RIGHT$(TIME$, 1)) IF seconds2 < seconds1 THEN second...

Re: symbol test - ignore

This comes straight from the source (this pages' anyway)! <p>The main fonts used on this site are: Verdana, Helvetica and sans-serif. If you have any of these in a word processor, just start typing ALT codes and see what pops up. <p>

Re: Posting time

I'm not sure why you have had trouble checking on posts for a month. Anytime I post it goes up immediately.<p>As for your second question, there are 2 ways. When you go to any of the 5 main forums, scroll all the way to the right at the top. You'll see "Show topics from last XX days" where XX is a n...

Re: Making hydrogen from water & DC

Well, his decision has been made. And I had a speech ready about how science procedures are well documented and should be followed. What a shame, if he'd only tried to answer some of the questions posed, he could've actually gotten this forum interested. Who wouldn't like to have what he promised? S...

Re: 18 Led's powered by 12vdc

I'm not sure about Jolly Roger's reason, but I would rather have them in parallel simply for reliability. If one component on the series string fails, then the whole string fails. If one component fails in the parallel configuration, only that particular combination fails leaving all others working....

Re: Making hydrogen from water & DC

To paraphrase my last line, "Put up or shut up". If the former (doubt it), then the real info will finally be flowing. If the latter (probably), then a simple "I'm outta here!" will suffice.<p>Reminds me of the one issue of Poptronics where the psuedo-science chick had her 'Pyramid Power' article pu...

You wanted the questions Slingshot, you've got them.<p>1. Who is this inventor? What are his credentials and what will you provide for us to verify them? (This means that YOU must give us the information or direct links to said information)<p>2. Where is this so called pilot plant? What is the conta...
