Re: 18 Led's powered by 12vdc

I'm not sure about Jolly Roger's reason, but I would rather have them in parallel simply for reliability. If one component on the series string fails, then the whole string fails. If one component fails in the parallel configuration, only that particular combination fails leaving all others working....

Re: Making hydrogen from water & DC

To paraphrase my last line, "Put up or shut up". If the former (doubt it), then the real info will finally be flowing. If the latter (probably), then a simple "I'm outta here!" will suffice.<p>Reminds me of the one issue of Poptronics where the psuedo-science chick had her 'Pyramid Power' article pu...

You wanted the questions Slingshot, you've got them.<p>1. Who is this inventor? What are his credentials and what will you provide for us to verify them? (This means that YOU must give us the information or direct links to said information)<p>2. Where is this so called pilot plant? What is the conta...

Re: VHS or hi8 recorder..

Just a quick thought, what is the standard voltage used by the guts of a home VCR - that's the voltage after the power xfrmr and regulators? If it's low enough, wouldn't you be able to adapt a home model? Or is the added ruggedness and movement compensation of a portable unit necessary? <p>As I said...

Re: Charging a coil

The automotive world has a product that you are most likely looking for. I don't know the name offhand, but it is an oboard computer with all kinds of accelerometers, etc. that will calculate horsepower and more. It has been around for a few years now. I have seen them used in their "head to head sh...

Re: WAV file format

Took a quick look at one through a standard TEXT editor - I use TrekText because I like Star Trek - and what a mess those files are!The file I looked at started with RIFF (it was a riff-wav file) and was followed by all kinds of letters, numbers and symbols, none of which I could make any sense of i...

1-800-576-5092, 19.95 + S&H + applicable taxes. Radio Shack has it for sale minus the free wire stripper, same price.<p>CeaSaR

Re: Fax and ring signal problem

Ok, so your all in one fax/espresso machine picks up on the second line, marked by the distinctive ring of short ring -short ring -long silence. Does it "malfunction" fairly soon (several seconds) after you pick up the phone or will it wait a minute or more before going off hook? If it is the former...

If I recall correctly, they are the IMF cans for an AM radio. If I am wrong, I'm sure we'll find out. As for the rest of your question, I'll let the big boys take over.<p>CeaSaR

TraxMaker help

I downloaded the student version of CircuitMaker and wanted to see what a circuit would look like on a board. When I tried to export the PCB Netlist, Circuitmaker couldn't find TraxMaker. Is TraxMaker only available with the PRO version? If it is, what would be a free/inexpensive compatible program?...
