Re: truck battery to 12vdc regulated supply
Jolly, that's kinda what i am looking for. I would like it to still produce 12vdc while under a cranking load. Kinda what this picture is showing on that website Here! Is this simulation correct or as they talk in the message board, saying it will not work?

Re: truck battery to 12vdc regulated supply
Terri.. that's what speaker phone is for.. leaves one hand free to adjust the radio station and the other to surf to www.nutsvolts.com ;) Seriously, if anyone has a simple diagram useing the nte970 as positronicle suggested that would be so awesome. I did a few web searches but all i come up with ar...

"I don't see how you have any other choice than to add another power supply(really only a small regulator or so, should do) of some sort."<p>

dang, forgot the most important thing about the screen. it's 12vdc at 2 amps. The paperwork says it needs to be regulated @ 5%.

Re: truck battery to 12vdc regulated supply
I need to maintain 12vdc whebn the truck is running it's voltage is closer to 13.5 which is to high. I have a 1.3 Ghz computer running a GPS and is tied into my audio system. It gives me 5.1 surround. I have a power supply that supports the computer from the battery and will hold the voltages it nee...

truck battery to 12vdc regulated supply
I have a NTE956 IC voltage regulator i would like to use to power a 12v DC touch screen. It will be powered by my truck battery. The screen calls for 12vdc @5% regulation. I know during cranking the voltage drops really low so i need it to maintain that 12v. Any suggestions on how to put togather a ...

Re: Amazing soldering tool
We somehow got one of these at work and believe it or not it does work ok. You can get different type of tips for it. I wouldn't use it for precision stuff though. And it does heat up fast and cools in a few seconds. The only problem i found with it is I dropped it about 6" on my desk and it ch...

Re: electric fencer monitor
Unfortunatly I don't have a meter that will read that low current. <p>Every time we find the wire broken it is on the ground. I have tested the voltage just before a ground and after. Before the ground condition the line reads between 8Kv - 10Kv on a hand held fence tester. Just after the ground 0v,...

electric fencer monitor
Is there a way to monitor a fence line that has about 10K volts pulsed into it to check for a grounded line? Something maybe that can monitor the line near the controller? Or would this be something that would have to be added to the controller itself? It would be nice to have something tell us if, ...
