Re: odd ball parts....

Hey,
402 is a standard resistance value. Search
on "standard decade resistance values" for a chart.
I have a few Dale thru-hole RN55D4020F's hanging
around. 402 ohm, 1/8 watt, 1%. Let me know
if you are interested.

Re: Mentoring near Alpharetta, GA

Hi Ben,
I'm in no hurry, and will be around when
you become ready. I'll have to evaluate the
complexity, once I get the files... so - no
promises yet. I'll be happy to help if I am
capable though. You are very welcome!

Re: Mentoring near Alpharetta, GA

Me again, If it is a fairly simple board, 2 sides max. I may be able to make one piece for you. Depending on how many vias, and the tracewidths. I have access to a router that makes nice proto boards. If you are interested, send me the eagle .brd file, or the gerber files. I'll ask you to pay shippi...

Re: Mentoring near Alpharetta, GA

I'm in Kansas, but... Not many board houses can
work with the Eagle .brd files. You need to
produce "Gerber" files to send out to them. This
can be done with Eagle. Look through the "help"
files, or check out their website below.

Re: OPNIONS WANTED sounds too good to be true

Hi all, I was only on the website for a few minutes, and now there are black helicopters circling above my workplace!!! The sad thing is, it sounds like this guy might believe this. He's offering up a $35K distributorship. How much has he invested? The link to the homesite is full of Tesla (the band...

Re: BNC Connector help

I agree with Dean on this one. If you
aren't too far into your project, I will
"second" his advice. I'm just embarassed
I didn't give you that tip in my reply to you.
The good BNC connectors should pretty much last
forever, if installed correctly, and are worth
the investment.

Hey - me again,
I've got a .jpg to send you. If you
send me your email to me at [email protected]

Dave
I tried to attach it, but I couldn't figure
out how, as it's not posted on the WWW.

Re: data i/o 201 EPROM Programmer

This is probably a stupid question... did you
check out their FTP site? It has a lot of info,
I didn't have time to look for your manual though.
Data IO's FTP site
I did find one at manuals plus for $25.

Re: Blackened light bulbs

My Oshino catalog describes "Water Cycle". This takes place when bulbs reach over 100 degrees C. The glass envelope can outgass. The water molecules break down, and the oxygen combines with the tungsten to form tungston oxide. This will get deposited on the inside of the glass. Then the oxygen combi...

Hi all,
Here's an interesting site with microphotography of cool things the engineers added to their artwork. I think Homer Simpson is even on a chip!

Try a search on "power inverter" or "dc inverter".
That is what the circuitry is called. Good luck,

Re: mixing DC power supplies

On another note, how about two nine volt batteries = 18V. If you have to have 17 use a diode or two as discussed in the thread "Voltage drop across silicon diode"
