Re: Jameco 664 EPROM Programmer
Janitor Tzap, Don't feel alone. Very few EEs out there have ever even seen an EPROM, much less programmed one. UV Eraser, whats that? There is no available information on EPROM programmers out there. It's all flash ROM now. I did find a 24 pin chip that may work though. It is the 2716 EPROM. It has ...

Re: Jameco 664 EPROM Programmer
Jameco emailed me back yesterday. They have no knowledge of the Jameco EPROM programmer system. They also said that EPROMS are obsolete. Unfortunately there aren't many folks like me that have an interest in restoring old stuff like radios and historical technology. When I rebuilt an old 1930's vacu...

Jameco 664 EPROM Programmer
Hello forum members, Last weekend I bought a Jameco 664 EPROM programmer and a UV Eraser at a Hamfest. I assumed I could find information on the programmer on the web. I can't find any information whatsoever. No manual, no circuit /design examples. Not anything. It is as though the programmer never ...

Thanks to all of you for your kind and very helpful replies. This is a very serious matter to me because my boys are using this equipment. Over the weekend I tested both outlets at the garage where the accident occured. One of the outlets tested o.k., but the test on the other outlet showed the hot ...

Potentials at house outlets
Dear Forum Members: Two days ago my son was severely shocked when he grabbed two electrified guitars, one in each hand. His hands locked up around the necks and he fell unconscious. His brother pried one of the guitars from his hand and he is now o.k. The strings on both guitars were properly ground...

Chris: My bad for using the word simple. I looked up some info on the 6AL5 vacuum tube diode and now realize how complicted vaccum tubes and their applications really are. The diode application on a receiver seemed like the simplest way to actually use a vacuum tube until I just did the research. I ...

crystal radio using vacuum tube diode
Hello Forum Members: I would like to build a simple crystal radio receiver (coil, diode and antenna) using a vaccum tube diode instead of a germanium diode. This would be my first vacuum tube project and seems to be about the simplest practical application. If I can get this simple application to wor...

GoingFastTurningLeft My application is a sequential controller: Each of the 3 outputs from a 74HC/HCT93 Modulo 8 binary counter will be connected to it's own hex buffer. 6 outputs from each buffer (now 18 total outputs) will then be tied to various inverters and triple input quad AND logic gates. T...

4050 Non Inverting Hex Buffer
Dear forum members,
Please consider my question below:
Can a single output from a 4050 Non Inverting Hex Buffer power all six inputs (inputs tied together) of another 4050 Non Inverting Hex Buffer?
Supply voltage for both buffers will be 4.5 volts.
Thank you.
