Thanks for the replies.
The mosfet approach should work and the traces don't turn out to be as wide as I was thinking so should be good.
I will probably use a rotary switch to keep it simple

Hi All I want to switch a voltage (100-150VDC) with current possibly as high as 4amps using a microcontroller and/or a user selectable switch. Thanks much for the info on the digikey part no. This switch would work for the application. Ideally though I was looking for a diamond layout with Up/Down at top and bottom and Back/Enter in the middle - would be a little bit easier to ensure right button is pressed and be a little more intuitive i...

Hi There
Does anyone know where I might be able to find an off-the-shelf membrane switch with 4 buttons. I need Up/Down/Enter/Reset and the switch will be on the right of a 4 x 20 lcd display.
