on a pcb with a crystal (used for some most likely for timer for the microcontroller) on it how come it could be surrounded by ground plane on the pcb board?? does anybody know?? what would be the purpose?? also the i.c. s have 0.1 uF capacitors very close to all of them.......?? is this for decoupl...
