Re: how do you keep I at V

Dale, I got that working. I measured the Vout and found it was more than it said and so I hooked up 3LEDs and it just works correctly!? It has the right V and I. What I would be interested to know if those wallwarts are self-regulated depending on the V and/or I? I did not get any notificatio...

how do you keep I at V

I got a wallwart at 6.3Vdc/1000mA but I need to power a couple of LEDs at 5Vdc/700mA. Would you guys have any suggestion what do to get it work without frying the LEDs? :???:
Thank you much.

At full throtle the battery lasts about 10 -12 minutes!

Re: circuit to replace battery

Well, it is the LIPO battery that runs the propeller motors. 5000mAh 35-70C discharge, 3 Cell 11.1V. For testing I would like to avoid hooking up and disconnecting the battery, it has to be recharged so often!
Thanks.

circuit to replace battery

I would be interested to know what it would take to replace a 5000mAh, 3cells at 11.46V battery with circuit run off 120V that would be used for testing, so, keeping the battery out until needed. Would someone have an idea what I need for that? :!:
Thanks much.

Re: burned coil?

Sorry, I did not mean the coil is hot as HOT, I meant it conducts, I used the tester that test the inductance like one can use on wires without actually touching the bare wire. The fan spins freely and when I check the coil it does conduct power(?).
Thanks.

burned coil?

I got a range hood that does not fan out. There is power coming in, the red and black wires are hot and the coil on the transformer is hot as well. If the coil indicates that there is power it still can be burned, correct? Is there anyway to find out that the coil is bad?
Thanks much.

Re: batteries that gives 18V to produce + and – 9V?

That looks good. I actually could use + - 15V and so using 4 of 9V with some regulation will do the trick.
Thanks much.

Re: batteries that gives 18V to produce + and – 9V?

So, the actual ground connection is the one between the two batteries, that's the negative side of one battery and positive side of the other battery. And,if I want to bring a signal into this I just use 555 or a crystal, depends on f, that should be a correct conclusion, right? Thanks very much Cea...

batteries that gives 18V to produce + and – 9V?

Is there a way to use 2x -> 9V batteries that gives 18V to produce + and – 9V? How do you hook it up?
Thanks.

Re: what parts to make the power supply built?

Alright, it is regulated. What I meant is that "I" want to regulate the output voltage! So, what it would take to make it regulateable by the user? I know I need three meters, two for the voltage and one for amps but what it would take to implement the controls and where I would co...

what parts to make the power supply built?

Hi, I have this design of a power supply that I copied from a book and I would like to build it but I want to make it a variable power supply. What other components I would have to add to make it a variable power supply, would you guys know?
Thanks much.

What is the wire used for winding transformers? That’s a coated wire but in what?
Thanks.

Re: regulated mA

So, what size of AC wall-wart do you use to get the specs like 9VDC and 300 to 500 mA?
Thanks.

Re: regulated mA

The wall-wart output is 9VAC. When I measured it, used AC setting on my VOM, I got some like 11.47VAC or so. The load requires 9V and 500mA and that is 9VDC. It provides power for the PIC33F uC. Like you say, it was a reverse protection device and that AC going negative just fried the diode. I need ...
