proper versions to program for WIN CE device
Hi everyone. I am wondering what version of Visual Studio and what WinCE libraries I need to program a WinCE 2.11 or 3.0 device - this version is basically Win2K for a palmtop. I've got a few Fujitsu Pencentra 200s that I want to make into embedded controllers - I don't need low level hardware contr...

Re: idiot needs help with parallel resistance calc
thanks folks. I thought that the 20 mA would be insignificant, but I didn't want to drop an amp through the LED and let out the magic smoke.

idiot needs help with parallel resistance calc
And yes, I'm the idiot. I'm rebuilding an old automobile wiper switch tester that used light bulbs to put a load across the relays and electronics in the switch. Basically, plug the switch into the box, switch wipers into low for example, and a light corresponding to low comes on. I'm rebuil...

Re: Fujitsu Pencentra 200 battery pinout?
The battery is for the Stylistic LT, C-500 and P-600s. 3400 MAh and it fits like a charm... now to just find 3-4 more for less than $120 each (I paid $20 for this one) At this point, I've found a cheap travel adapter that takes 12V in and puts out 16VDC, which will run the palmtop just fine. The bat...

Re: Fujitsu Pencentra 200 battery pinout?
I'd like to use a battery in tandem, so that the ram doesn't dump every time I shut the mill down. Otherwise I'd just wire ~11VDC to the voltage pins.
We'll see what I get with this battery I've bought.

Re: Fujitsu Pencentra 200 battery pinout?
Well, I won an auction for a used Stylistic LT battery, which may or may not physically fit. BUT, it does have the proper connection, so I can disassemble it and start tinkering. The PC-200 innards offered no help - they are incredibly compact, and the battery connector is right onto the motherboard...

Re: Fujitsu Pencentra 200 battery pinout?
By auction, I meant Ebay. Problem is, I'm into the 4 PC200s for $30 for the set . $100 for a battery for one of them is pretty steep and right now, outside my experimenter budget. I have figured out that the lone long pin is negative, and the other long pin is positive. I managed to get it going wit...

Re: Fujitsu Pencentra 200 battery pinout?
They were sold at auction by a business liquidator, they have ZERO information on them. No batteries. Around here (Charleston, SC), there are no surplus stores, thrift Stores, hamfests, computer sales, etc that sell this sort of stuff. I miss where I lived in Japan, I had three used electronics stor...

Fujitsu Pencentra 200 battery pinout?
Hi all. I picked up a few PC200's for a song (2 transflective and 2 reflective). They work fine with a laptop power supply, but they didn't come with batteries. The batteries are now impossible to get, or the ebay seller wants over 10x what I paid for the tablet. I know it's a 10.8v LiOn cell, and t...

I've got some solid-state relays left over from another project (reengineering the failure-prone Jeep headlight switch) and I could use those for current handling. Although... I was considering converting the taillights in the trailer to be LED. Not the cheapo LED bulbs, but a round circuit board wi...

thanks for the inputs guys. I think I'll be able to breadboard the SCR solution when I'm finished with classes in late November - now till then is pretty much booked solidly by school. OTOH, I'll have almost two months to go crazy waiting for grades, so a little grease therapy will be in order. One ...

taillight converter - the other way
I'm trying to build a circuit that will take the output of a standard 4-pole trailer connector and control a trailer with separate brake and turn signals (IE, a backhalf of a car). I'd prefer to not use a micro since I would like to power the circuit off the trailer connection. Standard 4-wire conne...
