Nuts & Volts INDEX?

This may have came up before. Is there a master index of ALL older issues of Nuts & Volts, available to buy on a CD or DVD? I tried to build an index in MS 'access" database. I got behind and never caught up. I have every issue ever published, AFAIK. Sometimes I would just like to find part...

I use Ccleaner to delete MOST cookies. I can save the ones I want to keep. I tried this with the N&V forum awhile ago, and it works fine. Now I stay logged on. And I did get an email notification when you posted to this thread.

When you log in check the "Remember Me" box. Your PC gets a cookie, so for one year you are already logged in every time you visit. Plus the new posts since last time you visited are marked by red icons. Thanks, I did not know that. I had been deleting MOST all cookies. Time to ch...

Re: Western Electric Vacuum Tubes

Yeah, Ebay is a good place to buy from, as, well, as Amazon. But, you should look at selling on some of the Audio Forums. Like.... Audio Karma: https://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php Audio Forums: https://www.audio-forums.com/ Antique Radios: https://antiqueradios.com/forums/index.php Those are ju...

Re: Western Electric Vacuum Tubes

oops, Yes that link was up there. I guess I missed it. And then it looked like a different page. My bad... I'm thinking that the audiofools (I mean audiophiles) probably have decided that one or the other SOUNDS BETTER. Maybe they do. I would never be able to tell. My ears don't work that well. I li...

Re: Western Electric Vacuum Tubes

Sorry to be so late thanking you all for trying to help me. Got busy in the spring/summer doing outside things a forgot all about this thread.. :( I thought I would get an email each time someone replied to my post, but it didn't happen. Seems there was a lot of speculation about just what the term ...

Re: How To Print Out Schematics

I'm still old school and like to open it up in paint, cut out 8"x10.5" rectangles and stitch them together after I use something like WORD (all borders @ 0.25") to get a good paste-n-print. But that's just me. If you don't like the new versions of Paint, you can go to the Win-Aero si...

Re: How To Print Out Schematics

A printer that can feed fan fold paper probably does have banner setting, but most laser printers can't do that, you would still need a specialty ink jet probably. Yes, one still can buy a dot matrix printer too, they usually support fan fold. I had a dot matrix printer many, many, years ago... I h...

@CeaSaR
OK - It does look like "small punch" is what others call "fine mesh". Best I can tell, anyway.

Re: How To Print Out Schematics

@ Lenp
I'm sure you are correct. I did not intend to restart an old thread. I'm sure originally my problem was trying to print out over several sheets of 8.5" x 11" paper in order to make them easy to read and mark up.

Re: How To Print Out Schematics

Sorry I did not come back and post. I have no idea what my final fix for this was. I am old and probably forgot that I had posted the question here... Not sure what I was working on at the time. :???:

Thanks for your responses...

Western Electric Vacuum Tubes

I know tubes are not a 'hot topic' on these forums but I do have a question that maybe someone can answer. On Ebay some WE tubes are listed as "Small Punch" or "Large Punch". I am wondering what the term "punch" means. Is "small punch" the same as "fine m...

Re: Is Nuts and Volts dead ?

I just received my latest copy a week or so ago. The sticker on it is dated 6/7/23. 2022 ISSUE-3. I feel the same way as solar3000. Just hoping N&V can keep on plugging away.

Re: Build A Headset Amplifier, Sept 2013

I'm still hunting for those controls shown in the picture on page 28. Bass, Mid, Treble -- not found on the schematic. Also notice that the exact same picture is used in August 2013 on page 30. Mr. Anderson makes reference to the photo being wrong and says it is of a headset amplifier. (notes on pag...

Re: monitor problem - Wells Gardner K7500

I worked part time for an Owner/Operator of arcade games about 14 years ago, then again in 2008. He is now selling his games. The monitors run a lot of hours and get pretty warm in those game cabinets. It is common for the electrolytic caps to dry out go leaky. A LOT OF THEM. They even sell what is ...
