I have to pick up the signal on the coil wire, it is a single cylinder engine.
It will be used on 2 cycle kart racing engine (read: $7k weedeater engines.. hehehe)

EE question from a ME
I know, another simple minded ME asking EE questions :-D I need to log two things, I am not too concerned with the software side as I will probably write a VB GUI for it. 1) engine RPM (inducted current off coil wire). I am thinking a transformer clamp. Not sure where to just buy one of those though...
