Re: RC Lawnmower Ideas

Jwax, Of course you are correct on the duty cycle. That was a concern, but I made a jig on my bench and ran one 8 hours with a brake on the sprocket and it seemed to not get especially hot. These may be a little undersized though. I have been looking at the Futaba website, trying to decide which TX/...

Re: RC Lawnmower Ideas

Interesting idea Hacklesup, but I think I will stick with sitting in my lawn chair mowing with the Futaba in hand and mower in full view. - well possibly in a monitor with a camera - . I will use the venerable Bob Blick Hbridge boards. I've built four of them for various things like my lawn chair th...

RC Lawnmower Ideas

Hi all, I am gathering parts and ideas for an RC lawnmower. The base will be a cheap push mower from the big box home mart. The front wheels removed and big casters installed. I purchased the 12V right and left hand gear motors from All-Electronics. I will either attach a sprocket to the big back wh...

Re: What Microcontroller Language do you prefer?

At tech school in 1984 we used assembler on custom 8080 machines. I got pretty good at it. It seems to me that a BASIC compiler such as Proton or PicBasic with as needed assembly routines is the way to go, at least for the hobbiest writing relatively small code. It is fast and easy to use, and free ...

Re: need help with schematic please

I cleaned it for now with CRC 2-26 Precision Lubricant.
Sent message to the owner on what they want to do next.
What a pain to disassemble that board from the faceplate. 62 pot knobs, 9 fader knobs and a bunch of screws.

Re: need help with schematic please

I found the problem to be failed mute switch SW21C on page 4 of 9. Turns out my leaky cap guess was incorrect. oh well. Thank You to haklesup and dyarker for your assistance. I learned about OCR on a pdf schematic and I am guessing it will save untold time in searching for things like "MAIN_L&q...

Re: need help with schematic please

Sorry, I fixed it from "FTP" to HTTP" Here is the schematic: http://home.centurytel.net/ptribbey/ A little more background: The FX section on the sound board has a test tone feature. I set it up for that on both ch 1 & 2 FX. So I can dispense with all 24 General purpose inputs as ...

Re: need help with schematic please

Dyarker,
Very astute but unfortunately unlikely, as I have twisted [and slid etc.] each and every relevant pot on the board a number of times. These controls contribute no noise that I can detect.
Thank you for your thoughts though.

Re: need help with schematic please

Thanks Haklesup. The schematic is posted to : http://home.centurytel.net/ptribbey/ Upper left corner of pg 8 of 9 shows the left main. I have o'scoped the problem appearing at MAIN_L X35-10. Question I have is where in the heck does that signal come from? I cannot find MAIN_L any where else. I am fa...

need help with schematic please

First, can anyone guide me as to where to upload the pdf of the schematic in question. Then we can get to the meat of the problem. The malfunctioning electronics is a Behringer Eurodesk SL2442FX-Pro 24 channel mixing board that has an intermittent left main out. I am leaning towards a leaky cap from...

What ever happened to the very interesting CS?

Chris Smith last visited the forum on 3 Sep 2007 10:52 pm. I just wondered why he finally quit arguing with everyone here.
I'm sure a few people miss him such as Robert R etc..LOL

Tri color Leds - invisibility

Probably old news, but I was thinking, if you could build a suit covered with them, and so many cameras, you could blend in to your background and become nearly invisible. My .02
