Sounds like overkill
Hi:
The motor & gearbox were made to drive around a 200lb person. Unless you plan on stepping on the mower as it is moving; 24 volts at 20 amps per motor sounds like over kill to me! You can bring down the cost by using relays.

Somewhere on your battery it should tell you how many amps hrs. it can supply. If you have a meter (you should if you are going to do any work in electronics) you can see what the servo draws under load. Most servos have very small motors, a good guess would be about 600 ma under load. So if your ba...

Motor with gearbox and wheel
I don't have any specs. on it. The wheel is about 3.5 in. I put 10 lbs on a base with the motors mounted; it moved the base fine; this was using 8 volts. The gear box I open had gears about 1/4 in. thick, so they should hold up pretty well.

Re: hobby servo with worm gearbox ?????
Hi. Does anybody know where I can find a worm gear assembly that is suitable for hobby servos or a hobby servo that does not backtrack (rotate) when the power is removed? I have tried this on the servo I have. Turn the power off slowly (I have a power supply with large caps, so the voltage drops sl...

Re: hobby servo with worm gearbox ?????
I just listed a motor with gearbox that uses a worm gear in the gearbox but it would be 2 to 3 times the size of a servotolisn wrote:Hi.
