radio shack sells a clip on amplifer that is sort of a hearing aid. it is one unit with 2 mics internally. what i did was remove the mics on the circuit board then wired an external mic jack to the inputs on the c.b. use a computer headphone with a boom mic 4 hands free use. note the internal mics p...

i ran across an unusual use 4 piezo speakers. i can't remember where. they make great pick ups 4 musical instuments. the xample was a rubber band banjo. the piezo is put under the bridge, connect it 2 a stereo amp. i made 1 and was amazed how well it worked. note: i used fishing line instead. thank ...

can a multimeter be used to test a diode on a circuit board to see if it is in working condition. this applies relates to the dead car tape deck that i posted earlier.<p>thanks for the responses on that subject. <p>martin

dead car tape deck

i had a short in the trailer light socket which killed my radio/tape deck. no sound at all, graphics work, but no illunimination. the fuse on the back of the tape deck didn't blow. i'm wondering what happened. is there a sight/forum on audio repair that i can visit?<p>thank you<p>martin

thanks 4 responding. when i went home, i experimented on an old calculator that had one cell. as it turned out, i had 2 use 2 aa batteries 2 get it up and running. on a side note using 2 d cells over powered it and all the digits lit up. hence no no.s could b entered.<p>thanks again,<p>martin

we have around our house many cheap little toys that contain button batteries. they are not worth the price of new batteries. how would i go about adapting an aa or aaa battery? i have noticed the buttons can be 1.5 volts. the current in the buttons must be fractional compared to the aa,aaa. thank y...

as 2 the radio shak hearing amplifier, i found that they picked up the noise of the russeling on the shirt it was clipped 2. so what i did was remove the mics from thecircuit board installed an input jack . i use a computer mic/headphones instead. piont the mic straight out 2 hear what is in front o...
