gold plating on tips & lead free
I've been reading this thread with interest and I would like to add my two cents. I work for a manufacturer of soldering tools and we had tested gold plating 5 or 6 years ago. Nice idea but the plating will not last very long with SAC solder or in fact any solder. It will disolve. Currently all tip ...
