Can anyone explain to me the difference between a switching regulator and a dc/dc converter? I need to go from 24volts to 5v 500ma and don't have enugh experience to know the best rout. can anyone give me recomendations on a servo that could drive the zoom on a manual zoom lens. the lens will have a gear on the zoom ring that the servo needs to mesh up to. Can anyone recomend a polythermal fuse to use with a 3amp voltage regulator ciruit? I'm a little confused because of the hold amperage and the trip amperage is so far apart on most.
