Re: GNIPYT SDRAWKCAB

Hopefully this will be the last follow up on this post, the problem is gone.
Somewhere between Dell and Windows many up/down grades it vanished.
Nobody's talking about who, what, why...you know the rest!

Re: Firefox printing issue

I found that opening the task manager, [ Ctrl-Alt-Delete ]and stopping the print spooler, then restarting it, often fixes may odd printer issues.
Hope it helps!

Re: USB C at 240 watts, how?

Well, I believe that it works!
I once had over 200 amps flowing through a length of #22 AWg. It worked well for about 0.0001 seconds!
Yes indeed, it did pass the 200 Amp benchmark!

Black Magic...Maybe

I have a Dell laptop, (Inspiron 3505) that has been cranky from day one. Most of the issues have been resolved, no thanks to Dell, except for one. The touchpad is buggy! It often will not respond to taps, it's sluggish yet causes cursor jumps, and has a ton of other ills. Despite any settings and dr...

Re: Looking for a new gadget....maybe new idea ?

I know that this post is a bit old, but here is what I used for years while checking door switches and and motion sensors in large buildings. You need two walkies, that will cover the expected area of use.At least one needs an external mic and earphone jacks. Both radios are set on a 'private' or qu...

Stepper Driver

I am working on a CNC control project and a question has come up. A common stepper driver module has a ' DIR' input. This switches the step rotation to forward or reverse with a voltage signal from the break out board. So the question.... Is there a 'standard' for the 'DIR' signal like + for forward...

Re: How To Print Out Schematics

You should be able to print any PDF by changing the paper size on your printer.
I just printed a full sheet PDF to a 4 x 5 card stock size.
The question is...Will you be able to read it that small?
Good luck

Re: GNIPYT SDRAWKCAB

Thanks for all the responses, but the issue is still there. It happens ONLY in search bars like Google, Amazon and select others, When it happens if I press 'ENTER' and start again, it is OK. It is totally random and cannot be duplicated. I was suspicious that some accidental 'gesture' on the touchp...

Re: Is Nuts and Volts dead ?

Yup, I well remember when a decent request letter to someone like Emerson, or Philco would result in you getting a short note and a factory drawing long before Sams showed up. And now many people are quite content to pay for what once was free. Water, samples of all sorts, self-serve checkouts, radi...

Re: Noisy Stepper Motor

I have used several similar steppers from Amazon with no failures, so maybe it's a dealer's choice! I would scope the windings to be sure the driver isn't getting buggy signals, since it seems to only do it at shutdown.....? Maybe try a different driver, like the ‎A4988, which is quite a bargain, ju...

Re: Capacitor

Outside of an industrial setting, power factor correction is usually an exercise in smoke and mirrors! The utility company will hang capacitors at the distribution transformer for places like grocery stores with their highly inductive compressors and motors. To those that may be in a fog about all t...

Want a surprise?
Put an obsolete credit card in acetone. Cover it completely. After a few hours the card is dissolved and can be peeled apart to see the magic inside. Near field cards have more to see

Enjoy.....

Re: Excxel Question...

The barcode scanner is just a USB input device. Instead of the scanner the barcode number can also be entered from the key board. In fact, with a scanner you can look up a product's UPC code and find info and sellers, in Google. I also use a scanner to scan the UPS label to send the tracking number ...
