Substation Question
I'm doing a project for school that involves designing a substation. I am having a difficult time deciding on the loads to use. I plan to have it power a small residential area and gather the data for the average power consumption of a neighborhood like this. I would like to have another load that i...

WTB: Basic (cheap) Oscope/Function Generator & Component
I'm in need of an oscilloscope and function generator to assist me throughout college with projects, etc. Doesn't need to be fancy or modern...just as long as it works fine.
I'm also interested in any components or miscellaneous parts. Capacitors, inductors, ICs, etc.
Thanks

Keypad causing problems?
I have a keypad to input data (1-9) into a 74147 encoder. This runs through a 74121 one-shot with each keypunch advancing the state of a JK flip-flop counter. The counter goes through three states with each corresponding to a digit of a three-digit number. The data from the original encoder goes to ...

Monostable Multivibrator
Hi, I'm using a one-shot to avoid switch bounce and allow for propagation delay. I haven't used one before and I can't find an example online. The datasheet is here: http://electronics-diy.com/pdf/74121.pdf I have an active-high input and need the 121 to provide an active low output to trigger a clo...

Basic IC Question
I am taking an introductory course to digital. We use a trainer board at school, but I don't have one at home. I am trying to build the circuit at home to learn how to do it without the trainer board, but one thing seems wrong. The IC is a 74LS08 with four two-input AND gates. http://www.alldatashee...
