Re: Probes?

Hmmmm................ There are a few that are still around. But electronic's have changed. I've found that DIY Kits for building your own test equipment, costs more than purchasing the test equipment outright now. So, unless your wanting too understand how the circuit works in the test equipment. I...

Re: Can lithium batteries be recharged?

Ok, I will not charge it and I will buy a new replacement if necessary. But I think it could work for a long time. Okay, The CR2032 Battery type, has different life span versions. The Alkaline version will last about 2 - 3 years. Some Lithium versions will last up to 10 years. {But are expensive!} ...

Can lithium batteries be recharged? QQ图片20210813172532.jpg Basically....... No. Unless for some reason you can't just buy a replacement CR2032 right away. You can give it a small boost charge, just so you can get your computer up for a day or two till you can get a replacement battery. You take 3 D...

Re: Lightning: I got blowed up real good!

Sorry to hear that Janitor Tzap! Are you in a lightning-prone area, i.e., hilltop? Tall trees or towers nearby? What can you do to avoid another strike? Maybe lightning rods? Actually, I'm kinda at the bottom of a hill. There are some tall trees, but they are nearer to my neighbor's house then too ...

Re: Lightning: I got blowed up real good!

only thing that can protect you 100% from lightning is unplugging things before a storm.. Plus adding lightning rods onto your house will save it from a fire and minimize the damage..and get you an insurance discount. Any house that has proper lightning rods,,has NEVER caught fire from lightning. Y...

Lightning: I got blowed up real good!

Well, thanks to last Wednesday's storm. I haven't been able to get back fully online till now. The lightning strike blew out part of the phone block, on the outside of the house. Took out the phone line surge protector. Fried the Modem/Router. And took out my LAN Port on my computer. What's weird a...

Re: DIY pancake slip ring

But brings me back to the question so frustrating me . Where can I buy ( eg model car ) spring electrical pick ups ? Check E-bay, Craigslist, and several slot car hobby sites. Check out local garage sales, or flea markets. You can find complete sets with the track, cars, hand speed controllers, and...

Re: DIY pancake slip ring

Sorry to be responding so late, but I've been having a lot of family issues going on. I don't know how big this ring has to be. But how about using old HO-Gauge Slot-Car Track? https://cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-q0oivn9r3h/images/stencil/1280x1280/products/2746/3415/SND-AFX70603-2__92070.1562599...

Re: Trying to find / download a service manual...

Yeah... but the need for a great manual site is always there... I mostly wanted to put the BAMA site out there... Nice find. But, the site is just starting out. So, what they have, is not a lot. And it seems to be mostly Test Equipment, and Ham Radio Schematics. I've come across some other sites, t...

Re: SPAM Attack

ARGH!!!!

It's bad enough that I get Phishing attacks on my home phone line, and even my cell phone.
But this is just all out harassment!

I may have to go off the grid, just to get away from it!

Re: Help to find Battery

Hmmm.........

I've been finding 1.2V 1/3 AAA 140ma Cells.
Image
Could you stack these into stacks of 3 = 3.6V, and then parallel 3 stacks together to up the amperes?

Re: How to Explain It...

Take a look at this schematic. https://www.eleccircuit.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/15V-Dual-power-supply-circuit-diagram-using-7815-7915-600x338.png Here the S1 ON-OFF switch, and the F1 Fuse are on the (Line-HOT) Primary winding of the Transformer. So, there is no AC flowing when the S1 switch i...

Re: Help to find Battery

I'm rebuilding a battery pack for a friends radio transmitter.. there is only room for the 3 AAA cells. What is the Make & Model of the Radio Transmitter? I'm bout to give up and just put regular NiMh cells in it and call it a day.. he'll just have slightly less run time. GCH is all that is printed...
