Re: Western Electric Vacuum Tubes
A mesh plate tube's functionality is essentially the same as a traditional solid plate tube: the amplification of an audio signal. With that said, the introduction of a precise mesh pattern on the plate will alter its role in attracting electrons . Whether this alters the listening experience veers...

O&O AppBuster: Bust Apps you do not want!
Sorry, for putting this SPAM here. But anything that can finally silence Microsoft's Contana , in my humble opinion. Is a good thing. Plus, it's free! A Tech nerd friend sent me this link to O&O AppBuster: https://www.oo-software.com/en/ooappbuster I can finally get rid of all the BLO...

Re: Western Electric Vacuum Tubes
Yeah, There are multiple things to take in account, that can effect how well the Tube performs. Materials used to make up the tube. How good of a vacuum was pulled when the tube was sealed, and amount of impurities left in the tube. Are they (N)ew(O)ld(S)tock, or used. Have the tubes been "Burn...

Re: Western Electric Vacuum Tubes
Reply from Mark at BlueGlow Electronics: small punch is pretty close to wire mesh, they are the earlier made of these and some say they sound better. I think the large hole tubes are just as good sound wise. There is no electrical difference, just difference in how the holes were punched into the m...

Re: Western Electric Vacuum Tubes
My sister and her husband were in to Tube Audio Equipment, back in the 90's. A lot were newer designs that were Pre-Amp, and even Main Amplifiers. I'll see if they have heard of this term. They got back to me. But they too have never heard that term as well. :( Using the link I first gave, I looked...

Re: Western Electric Vacuum Tubes
Hmmm......... I wonder if it is just some term that some of the younger Vacuum Tube enthusiasts use, because they thought it was more appropriate? My sister and her husband were in to Tube Audio Equipment, back in the 90's. A lot were newer designs that were Pre-Amp, and even Main Amplifiers. I'll s...

Re: Western Electric Vacuum Tubes
Yeah, I've never heard the term "Punch" either. I did a quick skim over the wikipedia page: Vacuum Tube . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vacuum_Tubes But didn't come up with that term on that page. Though there are multiple links on the subject of Vacuum Tubes on the page. Thou...... I seem...

Re: Antenna for Cell Phone!
If you are referring to the "sticker" antennas, no. They actually tend to do a bit of shielding and reduce the factory antenna range. You would need an active booster / repeater. Not sure what would work with the current 5G (5th Generation) protocol, but I'm sure you could find out. I eou...

Re: Battery pack for Ivation cordless tool
I agree with dyarker, Try that, or go to a Battery Plus+ Store, and see what they have. That will work as a replacement. I've got a Altocraft Drill/Screw Gun that is going to need a new 18V NiCad battery. I bought it for about $20.00. I can get the replacement battery for it, but it will cost over $...

Yeah,
I kinda think some of these last postings are just spamming attempts.
But they also got some of us to start talking about some subjects.
