Good suggestion Craig but I've never seen a stand alone player or burner with a pinhole to open the tray if it's stuck or broken.

It sounds like a problem with the tray limit switch(s) and or the the drive motors. If you hear the sound of a motor but the tray does not open and the screen says open it could be that it's trying to open but with the motor out of action it never gets to that point so it keeps displaying open becau...

Well dacflyer I may have to go that route. I guess there is no sense in spending the money if you can't read the sign during the day and either way it's going to cost money. So in the spirit of doing it once and getting it right the first time I'll just spend the extra cash. Plus I really wanted it ...

Am I infected or something?

I noticed today that whenever my cursor is over selectable or editable text I get the normal capitol "I" shape but it also has a picture of what looks to be a worm in the middle and a "C" in front of it. I see no extra programs or services running in the task manager, nothing odd...

Well I let the car sit for three days and went to test it today. All seems to be well and good. Before doing anything I checked the battery voltage and it was at 12.52VDC and after running it for a minute it was that good 14.2VDC again. I turned on everything I could think of (Rear defroster, A/C co...

I wonder if I could goto the DENSO website and request a sample. Doubtful. I wonder what they cost but I guess "If you have to ask....You can't afford it". To put it mildly.

Nice site. I really like the blue display but to much $. The best so far was $1.20 per 5x7. That site sells at around $4.50. I know I might not find any cheaper than $1.20 a piece but I'm still hoping/wishing.

Lowest cost LED matrix display

I'm looking all over for LED matrix products and all I can find is prebuilt units or the stand alone ones like I want but that cost way to much. Where can I find decent LED matrix products at a reasonable price? If the price is good enough I want to stock up (20+). I'm mainly interested in the 5x7 d...

This will be all over the place but I'm trying to get everything figured out. I checked into just buying a Christmas light controller pre made to see if it was worth it ($999 ^), I'll stick to homemade or nothing at all. I know how to make the master unit. The master will have a MAX232 for computer ...

First, though, I'd check the alternator belt to see if it's loose or glazed and slipping. Maybe under loaded conditions, you just aren't charging the battery. I've checked the belt and all seems well. With lead acid batteries voltage is a good indicator of charge? Right? So if after running the car...

Sorry Externet but I hope Crowbar is the right one. Just for my sake.

Thanks Dacflyer for the suggestion but I have no under hood light, no tilt switch and my driveway is almost dead level. That must have been a tough one to solve though. He must have gone out for midnight chocolate run and saw a mystical glow from under the hood.
