Sambuchi is right, you have to have the will to both learn and teach yourself if you want to get into robotics. Forums such as this one are great resources to get started, brainstorm ideas, and solve problems, but ultimately, if you don't want to do the work yourself, you'll lose interest very quick...

Well, we paid about US$4,500 for it, but they retail for quite a bit more. You can check them out at Sick's website here: http://www.sick.com It does work amazingly well, and it is a very powerful tool. I have yet to learn all of the details of its operation, but I have been able to create 3D images...
