Mobile (Cell Phone) led flashers

Hi,

Can anyone explain how those led flashers on mobile phones work?
I'm on about those sticky backed types you glue onto the back of the mobile so when it rings the leds flash.

Thanks All

Power from a pinout of a mobile phone

Hi
I was wondering if anyone knows how much current I could draw from a Vout of a pinout connector at the bottom of Nokia Phones. Ive noticed on some pinout diagrams that Nokia's provide a Vout on one of the pins. I cant seem to find anywhere that says how much current it could source.
Thanks

Re: AC compressors

IS it possible to run a 110V 60HZ (US type) fridge compressor on 150v - 230V 50Hz.
I have heard that running a compressor on a voltage lower than its rated voltage can damage it, is there any reason?
Thanks

Good to see BB back up again.
Here is my query since last one got erased.
Is it possible to modify freezers to operate as air conditioners without too much modifications? I am thinking of third world use where air cons are ridiculously expensive?
Abu
