i have never seen them like that... do you have a batteries plus close by? you might be able to get the standard lithium batteries there... best of luck

i know its old but i had the same issue i had a piece of 14ga.. works great... maybe not so much for fine work but the replacement tips are easy to replace.. cheap now too... will try 10/12ga see if its better...

Ok does the voltage rating matter on the capacitors? They are cheap enough. And with the inductor coil am i looking for a fixed version, trying to navigate the web for these things is difficult. I am hoping when the flea at mit opens back up this spring i may get lucky.
