Re: Cordless phone range
http://www.wilsonelectronics.com/ These folks make a range extender antenna. I have sold a few , They work well with most phones. I have a older phone that works on 54 MHz I believe. I put a BNC connector in the base and run RG 58 to a 4 foot CB antenna on the roof, it better than doubles the range...

Re: Crow bar protection , Help
I tried a 1700 75Vdc it's the only one big enough here on hand . It didn't help . But I have sort of figured out that a M4242 transistor controls the crow bar . It only has voltage on one pin in normal operation. I can't find a referance for this device any where. It's wired to work as a switch with...

Crow bar protection , Help
What I'm trying to do is run to identicail power supplies together . I get good results . so far I'm running a amp with them . But when the amp is modulated the current draw is increased from what I can figure it increases to fast causing the crow bar curcuit to shut the supplies down . The supplies...

Re: Hello to the group
For the spectrum analyxer manual keep a saved search for it at ebay, I see manuals selling there for equipment I didn't know existed. <p>CB is starting to go again , Mainly the 10 meter craze , most every 10 meter radio built is capable of 11 meter opp at up to 30 watts power. The FCC doesn't like i...

Re: Cheap Antenna Solution for FRS walkie talkie
If the TV antenna was modified . Insulate it it from the mast and connect the common lead to the mast and positive conductor to the the antenna. The system would also benifit from the use of a matching network or tuner. MFJ makes some nice units. But the expence would most likely out weigh the gain....

Re: inverter rfi problems
For interferance leaking from the inverter it's self . Try making a cage with strans of copper wire and wood . Similiar to a rabbit cage in design , as long as you keep the wires at least 2" apart. So you will have 2 inch squares, the frequencys that will escape should not affect your radio. Gr...

Re: Cheap Antenna Solution for FRS walkie talkie
Those radios work on 462 to 467 MHz . In RF the higher the frequency the shorter the antenna. The length in feet of the radio wave is determinded by dividing 936 by the frequency for a full wave length . this gives roughly 2 feet. In most radio applications antennas are built in either full wave len...
