Television is obsolete. The internet is an advanced bypass technology. I suppose TV will remain in some form for pay football-watching. Modern VGA has 4x more megapixels than 1080p HDMI HDTV. There are even pay-per-view IPTV set top boxes available for the internet but I don't think they will be wid...

Running counters that are read when a button is pushed or released is the ONLY possible true random number generator. All pseudorandom number generator routines are actually bizarre and predictable counters, which simply don't count in order and also eventually repeat when they overflow. At best, PR...

It looks to me like you want a faster response to voice and faster playback at normal tones that don't sound like "the chipmunks". You can record past time, such as the beginning of a sound which happened before you pressed record, with a regular delay of several seconds on the input which...

usenet is an old public emailbox system that predates web sites,
sort of like how irc chat predates "chat rooms" and web sites,
usually it's text only unless your gateway is a website or applet.

In other words, it works even with those really slow old modems.

THERE OUGHT TO BE A LAW... And it better be a Good ONE (just one) ! Schools phools! The public library has free internet and free tuition and plenty of books. I've been going there since I dropped out of college. They even have classes sometimes. And it's QUIET in there! Shush! If they're on ...

how about a free always on speakerphone?

Two speakers connected together with DEAD phone wire may work. The speakers must be good for high pitch sounds, and the speaker resistances should be a lot more than 8 ohms for any distance... 600 ohms will go over miles of extension cord. The speakers used in speakerphones are usually high resistan...

I don't have time to put it on youtube NOW, and if I did, it would probably look as bad as the demo of my *** 3DTV *** influxcombobulator: http://youtube.com/watch?v=32VQS66rxEI BTW: It's not easy to photograph a video image very well. You can surely always tell "if it's LIVE or Memorex". ...

Comment on color preprocessing

1. My last paragraph is not directed at Mr.AL Considering security CCTV: Many older cameras sync to the line voltage to simplify the process of putting multiple cameras on one screen. They also have an independent horizontal oscillator with an indefinite amount of interlaced lines, such that it woul...

I'm misunderstood. This is not meant to be an "us against you" rant. I build a lot of cool stuff you can't buy, but you CAN learn how to make it. Business wants to keep you dumb so they can sell "other stuff" to you. In fact they remove features and then you pay to get them back ...
