Re: Subscription problems
I got a year subscription about 9 monthes ago. I've recieved countless "renew now!" notices (probably 2 a month), but I've only recieved about 3 or 4 magazines. I won't be re-upping my sub.

Re: Capacitor question / help
Thanks for the responses guys!
here's a little more info for ya. I double checked and the C1 cap exhibits the behavior the most. It also happens to a much lesser extent on the C2 and C4 cap. The C3 cap, which appears to be the equivalent of the C1 cap, just on the other microphone side, does not e...

Re: Capacitor question / help
I was using ear muff type headphones. I'm not sure that feedback is the proper term, but it was a buzzing/humming kind of sound.
So if my body is adding capacitance, could I replace those caps with variable caps and tune it so that the humming goes away?

Re: Capacitor question / help
If I'm reading the schmatic correctly then yes, C1 and C4, but I'll double check when I get home tonight.

Capacitor question / help
Hi all, a little background before I get to my question...
I'm a software guy by trade, but I took a few EE classes in school and was completely fascinated by it. I've been trying to learn on my own ever since. So along those lines I bought some mini kits from Ramsey just to see if I could make th...

Re: Adding Numbers on website
I've never done any ASP programming, but it seems similar to other web programming that I've done, so I'll try to interpret the example a little for you...
First you need to make a function that adds up what you want to... <% Function add(intA, intB, etc... ) Dim intResult <-- declares the variabl...

Re: satellite dish design
OK, I've been reading the satellite dish design thread and wanted to ask some questions without cluttering up that thread so I'll ask here.
If I'm reading what's being said correctly, it seems that the size of the dish has nothing to do with the wavelength trying to be captured correct? That the p...

Re: laser wire stripper?
I prefer my "thermal stripper", more commonly known as a bic lighter. Just use the flame to heat the insulation, to the point that it's soft and plyable, but not burning, then pull it off, or apart exposing the area you need to get to. Works great, costs less than a buck.
[ July 18, 2005...
