Specifically I need recommendations and code for the PIC family, and the AVR family. I looked extensively on the internet, but no one seem to have concrete opinions on which...

Nsc800 or Z80- a win32 cross-assembler

I would like to know if anyone else knows of an inexpensive (less than $400) Nsc800 or Z80 win32 Cross assembler. I've looked at simtel and there's are all DOS based ones. 2500AD and Avocet are not possible candidates because they cost too much. All I need are a URL(S) of a company that fits my need...

Re: Components Equivalents

yes, motorola is freescale.
it is also at Onsemi main page.
in the middle of the page they have a cross-ref box. eneter your request here, and click the submit button (i think). this works for non mcu parts as freescale does those.
hope this helps.

Re: data-sheets

be careful about the datasheet you get from www. freetradezone.com/index.html . Some dtatheets may be corrupted in transmission over the internet, and you may lose some graphic and/or titles to figures and such. a recent file i downloaded had just such a problem, and i had to go to www. onsemi.com t...
