if the "crystal" is an orange ceramic resonator i'd say 50/50.
i have replaced them in tvs and remote controls. only the freq was differant.

my pc board needs are small.
so i am better off using the trace,resist ink method as described in earlier posts.
also my wife thinks i have too many goodies as it is. however using my junk to repair something of hers doesn't count.

even in my retirement i repair an old modular zenith syst 3 now and then. one of the resisters that frequently goes bad(it opens)is a 2.7meg 1/2 watter. using this i wont worry about lowering the coils Q. the project i'm building is the "blab buster" that was in the feb issue of N&V. t...

i checked the shelves at the shack and couldn't find none.
so i need instructions on how to wind a couple of 1uh choke for my project.i suspect i'll need to wind the wire on a high value resistor. so what gauge and how many turns do i need?

i want to thank every who posted a response to my query on making a pc board. it comes back to me after reading all the advice. i guess i was hoping not to sit for hours tracing the pattern by hand on the blank. i wish when nuts and volts has a project, the list of parts would have a source of a boa...
