Re: Can nomeone explain this to me: current(AC vs DC)

Actually no...I guess at times during the cycle it would be drawing around 2 amps and other times there is no current flow. The measurement will "approximately" be the effective current draw over a period of time.<p>[ March 12, 2005: Message edited by: Trejep ]</p>

Re: Can nomeone explain this to me: current(AC vs DC)

John Paul, Here is a website showing you the waveforms of the different current flow (dc vs. ac) http://physics.mtsu.edu/~phys2020/Lectures/L12-L16/L14/dc_vs__ac/dc_vs__ac.html <p>I would imagine your multimeter is measuring the RMS (root mean square) of the current flow which would explain the lowe...

Re: Programming KEELOQ devices

Philba, You are right...mostly ;) .... The Pro Mate II has been replaced by the Pro Mate III, but inherently the Pro Mate III does not support the HCSXXX series unless you buy an additional Pro Mate II adapter...as per their sales rep and the PM III data sheet. I'm looking at other options at the mo...

Re: Programming KEELOQ devices

Thanks for the reply. I've been looking and will contact microchip about this. One idea I had was to just read the eeprom on the chip and manually change the values within the BP program then rewrite (the configuration code) to the chip. The only thing I am worried about is that I believe this chip ...

I am looking at programming an HCS200 and HCS512 from microchip.com. I have a BP1600 (BPWIN) universal programmer which shows that it ...

Programming KEELOQ device

I am looking at programming an HCS200 and HCS512 from microchip.com. I have a BP1600 (BPWIN) universal programmer which shows that it supports the devices. My question is that in the datasheets from microchip HCS512 data sheet it shows the hold times, programming waveform etc....but I have no idea h...
