Re: Shopjimmy
I've used Shopjimmy and PTS, both places are reliable.. Shopjimmy isn't so good with shipping cost, they were kinda high a few times for piddley parts. I used to use PTS a lot for tv tuner repairs. and they rebuilt a complicated power supply for a huge plasma tv for me once. It would have been cheap...

CeaSaR >> are you speaking of a thing called a Violet Wand ? I used to use such a tool, but it was way different, the base was the same, but it used a metal probe instead. I used it to detect leaks on neon tubing that was brought in to me for repair ( I used to make NEON years ago. I kinda miss it. ...

Re: Yet another battery charger question...lol
The unit i showed you just controls the turning on/ off the primary of the transformer... but i could let it control another relay for higher input current. If i did get it, i could change the transformer on it from a 220v to a 120v. i think i did that with something else before. as for a solar conf...

This unit ( model 19740 Lestermatic II ) It has a control board in it.. It cuts the battery off once it's full.. But this would overcharge AGM / SLA Batteries. And yes i am trying to maximize the battery life. These batteries are on one of my solar projects. I only need it if there's more than 2 day...

I might have to resort to a different circuit... I was hoping to just modify the board that's currently in there.

Yet another battery charger question...lol
Ok, so I have ordered parts for the 1st charger i mentioned that i'll be rebuilding. But now i have a different charger of what i actually need. I acquired 2x Lestermatic II 24v 25A chargers. Re: Ghosts
I never knew that was possible... I always did it the hard way..go all thru the menu..the sucky part was trying to get to where you needed to be to get to the Horizontal hold menu. Usually the horizontal was out of whack. You wanted to get that set 1st so the H.O.T. didn't short out from being so ou...

Re: Ghosts
the last TV's I worked on that had a similar issues were the RCA CTC131 Series. they were notorious for having cold solder joints around the tuner housing. this would lead the tv to do all kinds of weird things. turning on or off randomly, changing channels, making the volume go up or down.. or mute...

I did a little more research today and i came across a handful of these scam reports, and they seem to match up almost the same way as mine.. Here's the link to the FTC ( Federal Trade Commission ) where you can read more.. https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/2020/04/scam-emails-demand-bitcoin-threate...

haklesup >> A lot of this is beyond my comprehension. I remembered an old school buddy that's in the business of working on computers. So I'm going to get him to help me with this issue. Janitor Tzap >> for the links.. I had CCleaner , and it had recently updated itself, when the problems started, i thought it might be clashing with my Avast, so i deleted it.. I had an AV before, that when it updated, it caused the AV to disable a lot of my Fn keys to not work. so that's when i swit...
