Re: Wiring program

Thanks, Sambuchi, for the suggestion. I got around to downloading it and does just what I need.

Claws, hands, grippers

Hi,
I'm looking for a somewhat lightweight (preferably servo powered) claw/gripper that can open at least inches. Lynxmotion has a gripper that looks good but it only opens a little over one inch and doesn't have very long fingers.
Thanks,
Jason

Re: Wiring schematic programs

I'm more interested in a general program where one can easily create his own obejcts such as servos or other peripherals and easily create numbered ports that can be wired to each other. I don't need all the little specific parts like resistors, capacitors, etc..
Does anyone a program that would b...

Re: How do I unsubscribe from a topic?

To stop getting emails, I can delete my first post, the first of the topic, and the topic will disappear.
Moderators, is it alright if I do that, or can someone manually remove me from receiving emails?
Thanks,
Jason

Re: How do I unsubscribe from a topic?

I'm not sure there was one in my email. My latest email was just:
Hello,
Someone just replied to your posting at Nuts and Volts Forum. Here are the details:
Forum: General Subject: How do I unsubscribe from a topic?

Re: How do I unsubscribe from a topic?

Uh, no, it's not.
Pardon my ignorance, but I don't know how. Is there some link somewhere in the thread allowing one to unsubscribe?
I understand this is a stupid question, but could someone tell me how to do it?
Thanks,
Jason

Wiring schematic programs

I'm interested in making a computer wiring diagram for a robot I built, but it is awfully tedious to draw every line in a prog. such as Microsoft Word. I wanted to know if anyone knew of a program that is built to help create wiring schematics.
I originally posted this question in the robotics por...

Re: stall current

Ok, thanks.
I don't plan on having any of my motors stall in my project. I just wanted to know in advance in case the motors did stall for some reason.
I had another electronics question; do you think it is okay to overvolt a motor about 30%, or would it really depend on the motor to be able to ...

If a motor tries drawing more current than the battery can supply, will the motor heat up or what will happen?
Thanks,
Jason

no reverse polarity protection

It's pretty annoying that many ESC's and microcontrollers don't have reverse polarity protection. If I were to implement protection on a device, would the only think I have to do be hook up a diode?
Thanks,
Jason

Question about output current on VDD for a BS2

I have another question regarding logic power.
For my project, I need 5v for logic voltage for a motor driver that requires 36mA, and also 5v to power my receiver that requires 19mA.
Do you think it would work if I hooked in both the logic voltage on the motor driver, and my receiver into VDD fo...
