Oooh, interesting topic! All sorts of ways to make noise. Semiconductores in avalanche mode; digital random noise generators; analog circuts that ocillate, ring, etc. Noise! I can't help with the book source, but I will vouch that using the FTDI USB chips is really easy. As long as you are comfortable using a surface mount component. Either that or use the prebuilt modules in DIP format from a company like DLP Designs <p>I prefer through hole parts myself and I'm curren...

The recent advertisement in the October Nuts & Volts piqued my interest in the device. I checked the BitScope website and saw a reference to the unit in the news items, but I did not see it listed for sale in their online store. Perhaps it was removed for some reason.<p>A full page ad in the mag...
