Newz2000 and Jollyrgr Thanks for the tips, I was able to get one computer with Windows 98 to communicate with another computer with Windows 98 and I did it by hand ( without the installation wizard). Now I will try to get a computer running with Windows 98 to communicate with a computer that is usin...

Network and Windows
Does anybody knows of a website that I could check to set up a small network (2 computers with a crossed cable). I found website that tells you how to do it with Windows XP but I would like to do it with Windows 98. I tried looking in the help files but they are useless.
Thanks
Thanks

You can make your own ICD2 clone for cheap, I made one for about $20.00 and it works well. It took me a while to get it going but now it works fine. I got the diagram and information at www.stolz.de.be. There is also a forum to help you out. I used it to program 16F and 18F but it can program a whol...

Anybody using Electronics Workbench 4.0
I have an old CD that had a copy of OrCad and Electronics Workbench 4.0. Now I am trying to use Electronics Workbench. I have a few questions, since it is an old version (1995) I was wondering if it could mix analog and digital. I am trying to get the word generator's output to turn on and off some ...

Re: OrCAD 6.1
If it wasn't for a connection mistake on the power supply, I would have gotten going with Electronics Workbench in a matter of minutes, it is probably the easiest software I have used so far. I have seen on some demo circuit, that come with the software, that you can trigger some function by pressin...

Re: OrCAD 6.1
MrAl I want to make a filter for an inverter that I am trying to make to be used as a welder I am trying to build. I also found a copy of "Electronics Workbench 4.0" that I used instead of "OrCad" and it works fine but it can do a lot more that what I am able to figure out but th...

Re: OrCAD 6.1
I wanted to make a filter using a capacitor and an inductance and since it is a rather large filter for large current I wanted to simulate it instead of winding different inductance and possibly destroying other components.
Thanks

OrCAD 6.1
A friend of mine just gave me an old copy (1995) of OrCAD 6.1 and I was wondering if anybody had any experience with it. I was wondering if it was esay to use or if I will be spending a lot of time trying to learn a program that is not worth it. I mostly want to use it to simulate some simple circui...

Re: Schematic software
It's not a new Software, it is over 10 years old, it was given to me by the PCB supplier I was dealing with back then, but it's mostly the schematic part I would like to work, the PCB software works perfect.
Thanks

Schematic software
I am looking for an inexpensive software to draw electronic diagram, if it has a printed circuit design feature would be even better and if it had a simulation feature would be great. I was using "Advanced Schematic" and "Advanced PCB Design"from Protel and I like it but "Ad...

Re: Data Logger
I did check on Google but there where so many that I didn't know where to start so I thought that somebody on the list might have played with something like that. There is a data logger advertised in the November issue or Nuts and Volts that is very interresting, it can send the data througt RF, but...

Data Logger
I am looking for a cheap data logger that I have two uses for, at the moment. Preferably, it would be the same system for both application, so I am looking for something that is flexible. I want to use it to collect information on a car's engine and the other application would be to measure temperat...
