the problem with it going to high is that the input voltage which i tough was 24v is actually around 27 volts i presume this would explain why the voltage is going up to around 14v

im only going to need less than half an amp. im using it to power some ics which require anywhere from 10 -14v dc.<p>after following everyones advice i think im nearly there. the only problem im having is that the voltage fluctuates from around 9volts back up to around 14volts i think it might have ...

i see from your circuit your are using 12v as vcc i am only using 5 v should i be using 12. also what range of voltage should be going into pin 3

its a college project where i have a FSK modulated wave form of a basic bit stream that i need to send down the mains cable i have all that side of the project im just strugling with the mains coupling the frequencys are going to be 5kz either side of 20khz
