I have one, the last time I used it it worked. I have a lot of pens and carrasel for it as well all mounted on a plastic case with draw for the pens.

Exellant sites I'll be reading for awhile. But to let you know what I did with my software, loop till transition high then pause and check agian, if still high go thru loop till it goes low to increase the count, found out the relay my stay closed for differant amounts of times. Thanks for the info guys. Will try pausing then rechecking pin and see if that works for me. Wish I know C++ seems to be the universal langauge for a lot of Microcontrolers out there. Let you know how I make out.

What is the best way to debounce a switch input micro, lest amount of caponents or by software. Tought of checking pin input then pauseing short amount then rechecking. I want to use the dry contacts of a relay for the switch input. Tried it with a momentery swt to ground with the pin tied to +5v th...

One thing I found that worked is to burn at a slow rate 4x or less. Same movie and same media, burn at fastes rate , when played will freeze. Reburned at 4x it plays just fine. Also media manufature makes a differance, I found Maxel or Sony seam to be the best for this issue. Hope this helps.

Try Pololu.com or Paralax.com they both have serial DC motor controlers for around $30. Small foot print and easy to control

Went to the other plant and found the origianal curcuit. Looks to me that they are using an IGBT (G7) with another # Q665 MEX and the bulb is only 150 watts then going through a mirror then colored lens. Is there a way to test this couponent?

Sorry I don't know what kind of scope this is yet, I'm working on second hand info. I thought this was going to be a simple DC supply, but it brought up the question of transformer sizing which I have come across before. Today or tomorrow I will go to the other plant and see for myself.

I think I will go out there agian and investigate the scope for myself. Will get back to you all then . Thanks for all the replys, you gave me alot of food for thought. I think I may have not been understanding their problem right.
