Data Books
XRay: Sorry to be so long in getting back to you on the books. Just been leting this simmer for a while, messing with other things. I was thinking about EXAR, because I've got a few 2242 chips, but I'm looking at the Intersil ICM7242 now. I would like to find some 2005 & 2006 Nuts & Volts ma...

Not Yet
X-Ray:
Haven't gotten one yet.
You wouldn't happen to have a book on EXAR integrated circuits, too, would you?
Thanks for the reply!

LM3914 Circuit
http://www.uoguelph.ca/~antoon/circ/batmon12.htm Here's a link to a 12V Lead-Acid Monitor using the LM3914, which easily could be adapted to your application. The LM3914 has the feature of a handy internal voltage reference, and is simple to apply. Also, in addition to the fact that the indicator LE...

Heat Mat Control
Bodgy: For the ap I was considering, the control would apply power to the heat mat between a temp of perhaps 45F and approximately 82-85F. If the temp rose more than 10F above the max temp, an output would be latched to activate audio/visual alarms (piezo/flashing LED's or xenon). Of course, the sen...

Thanks
Sherlock,
Thanks for the response; sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
What do you want for it?
I'm not collecting them, just wanted to browse over some data sheets/ap notes without being at the computer.

Climate Controller
Colin:
I was just browsing over your climate controller. It looks kind of interesting.
I have a 200 W (120VAC) heat mat I've been thinking of using. It has no control, just heats up (resistance wire in a thin mat).
Have you actually put your control to use?
Thanks.

PCB Software
Does anyone know of a decent piece of software to draw pc-board layouts that will run under Windows 98SE? I'm interested in single-sided, through-hole, with DIP and common transistor patterns. Everything I've seen in the past is not practical, too cumbersome to use, requires switching to another scr...

Bought Out?
Seems like I saw that Weller had bought out the rights to ColdHeat. My guess is they weren't interested in the design, just trying to eliminate some marketing competition. I've been fiddling around with a battery-operated iron I got at that paragon of parts distributors, R-S. It's too weak for much ...

Thanks
Thanks to all for the good feedback on the Cold Heat Pro. It's kind of what I was thinking, I guess -- an interesting notion, but maybe not quite ready for prime time, at least not on pc boards and such.

Power Supply for IBM 300PL
I need a power supply for an IBM 300 PL pentium II 333Mhz desktop, 150 watts total.
Does anyone have a good working one, or know of a possible source?
Thanks!

Low-Leakage Electrolytics
I am looking for (new) low-leakage electrolytic capacitors, 470uF (16-volt and up), with leakage values specified.
Also, I would like to find a good source for low-ESR electrolytics, up to 100uF.
