Re: pc based oscilloscope again

I think I shd have used a different icon.
The power ic no is 7805(just that), it seems to have just 3 pins, one is 9v, the other is 5v, and 3 is common. The display driver is LM3914, I think it's used for a dot/bar display, cos it has output lines connected to leds.

Re: Temperature controlled home brew

its just that u don't know much about electronics, but u could get someone to build a circuit for u if u find one that suits you. Check out imagineeringezine.com, I think they have a sampling of circuits.

pc based oscilloscope again

I've got a circuit diag now. But i want 2 modify it a bit.I found an Ic , a display driver whose only purpose is just to signal when voltage level changes polarity. I thought of replacing it with something else, maybe an opamp,or voltage comparator. What d'u think? Also, there's another ic (7402 I t...

unidentifiable ICs

I've got some ICs that I cannot identify, and I can't seem to be able to find datasheets for them. They include motorola, toshiba, rca, zilog products among others. Can anyone help me find a datasheet(s) 2 identify them.
PS> I think they're obsolete components 'cos I found a Z80 cpu among the lot.

school project needs help

Hi ev'ryone. I'm designing (or I'm supposed 2 design a pc-based oscilloscope) ie one that can take a signal, process it and feed it 2 a pc for display. My problem is that I don't really have any ideas as to how 2 go about it. I thought of using an ADC in a circuit, but I can't figure out how 2 build...
