Analog design training

Hey Everyone,<p>I'm looking at enhancing my analog skills and found the following site.<p>http://www.ardem.com/<p>It seems very interesting but I was wondering if anyone else knew of training that involved practical analog design. Google wasn't extremely helpful.<p>Thanks...

supper simple transmitter question

http://www.scitoys.com/scitoys/scitoys/radio/computer/computer_controlled_transmitter.html <p>Has a super simple computer controlled transmitter. Would this be a practical circuit for hobbyists? Is it low power enough to be fcc compliant? The site uses an am radio for demodulation and only transmit...

solder past dispensers

Does anyone have a solder paste dispensor setup in their lab? I just wanted to see what other people were working with - especially their source for compressed air for the dispenser.

Does anyone know the capacitance per foot of 22 gauge twisted wire pair? Or a website containing such info?

I've also used pic basic pro and have enjoyed it. Their manual is very good in my opinion and explains every code word in detail.

Re: halogen lamps

Yeah after working on it and only applying the 12volts to the relays - they're busted. Does anyone know of websites that have tips for wiring ac electrics (safety - standard practices)? I'm gonna have to build my own relay board.<p>Thanks

Re: halogen lamps

I applied 13 volts externally when the board was powered down and I measured the relays resistance. The relay conducts when the supply is 13 and not 18. I think I'm gonna cut the trace and insert a 7812 regulator circuit to bring the voltage down.

Re: halogen lamps

After looking at the circuit that I'm using to drive the halogen lamp - I have some more questions concerning 12dc 120volt ac relays.<p>The circuit's high volt dc supply is around 18 volts. The relay has a fet on the low side of the relay. When I turn on the gate the relay's coil can get 18 volts pu...

Re: halogen lamps

I was talking about dimming and stuff like that. The lamp would be ones used in toaster ovens. I opened up the toaster oven to find a relay board. There are three control signals to the board. NMI HT and LT. The HT and LT go to two control fets that work on the relays to the toaster oven elements. I...

Cheap type of solder mask

Is there any type of acrylic or epoxy or some material that I could use as a cheap form of solder mask for solder paste reflow just around components? <p>It would have to survive 250 celcius and be easy to use. I was thinking nail polish - but I don't know if it would burn or not. I guess I might ex...

68000 ?

I see the 68000 slowly going out of existence. I can only find chips in the Jameco catalog and they're going too. Are there any processors / manufacturers that will keep the chip going?<p>I'd like to use it because its easy to understand - and flexible too. And it has a low pin count.
