No it wouldn't be powered all the time, the toggle to turn it on is illuminated as a warning the ckt is energized and the toggle will be connected to a keyed power source so if I forget and leave the switch on it would power down when I turn off the key.

I would like to install 2 ceramic type resisters in-line on a wire.
Is there some sort of holder for this or do I just solder them in and fix up some sort of support and insulation for it.<p>It's for an automotive application and I don't want bare resisters hanging under the dash.

The toggle sw contacts would be the only thing it would protect.

In the 12VDC relay circuit (below) where the trigger is a simple toggle switch supplying power for the relay and the Neg output is a low current load..
Do I need to install a diode for protection across terminals 86 & 85?<p>

Whew! Tall order on that application...<p>DPST rated for 12v plus illuminated really narrows the field. So far looks like a rectangle rocker is my only option.<p>Drilling a round hole would have been more easy.
