Sorry, should of clarified the gain, its 40dB in terms of signal, so I need a gain of at least 10000.<p>Thanks for the help

I am currently trying to build a 40dB pre-amp for an array of acoustic transducers receiving 0.5ms burst signals at 70KHz, and need a bit of help.<p>The complication is that it needs to be fairly small and portable, and run on a -9 to +9 volt battery supply.
