I've got a low power (50 mw), 16 ohm differential (sp+, sp-) audio output from a Winbond ChipCorder that I want to feed to a single input audio amplifier with a 20-40K input impedance (Hitachi HA1318). I also need to control the volume in the process. What's the best method of doing this?

Thanks for all the great suggestions. It sounds like the LM567 is what I'm looking for. I've read over the data sheets and I think it's perfect for that application. Now it's time to order some and try it out. I'll let you know how it turns out.

For a Halloween prop I'm working on, I need to have two seperate audio tracks on a CD, but also need a control track to trigger a prop. I was thinking of recording a non-audible tone on one of the tracks, maybe 22-25khz (something that would still be within the range of a standard audio CD player), ...
