Re: cellphone antenna's

I recommend an old style bagphone
If you can still use them

Back in my day they were 5-10x more powerful

And if that's not an option, upgrade your aerial.

I'm going to print you off and take you to the tv repair house with me so if you want to add anything that'd be great
I really appreciate all of that, so far, even if it made my head spin like a chinese top

Re: Mini Air Conditioner

If the room next door has a window, you could install the window box near the floor where you have unused wallspace and it would dump the hot air to the room next door which would have an exhaust fan in the window (use bars to secure it the room)
Now that might work, right? Would it cause any fir...

It would be the size of a silver dollar (twice or so as thick) and need to light up
Watch batteries and diodes??
Also, for the use I'm considering, I want to sell these... How can I get a patent without spending alot of money? How can I manufacture these 100 or so at a time on my own??

Damned chinese made garage door opener

I still can't get this piece of <bad stuff> to work over here So I want to see about making it manual electric (Switch one way for up, another for down)
Should I play games trying to accomplish this while sober or while drunk?
(Sober, I may become frustrated and break it... Drunk I may become b...

Don't you know that all you have to do is use a very small pulley and ride down hill?

Re: Damned lightbulb burned out AGAIN

Well the socket seems to be in fine shape, I had checked the contacts and they are shiny like new... but you're saying that there could be internal damage, right??? The good news is it is a good quality porcelin fixture
Maybe for now I can just try the better bulbs you mentioned since it *looks* ...

Re: 100w bulb in 40w max desk lamp

The desk lamp never burns out Except once when it was sitting on a home stereo speaker and I got out of control with the bass in that song cocomo by the beach boys
Now that you mention it, the socket does look like some sort of "fake porcelin"
But the dimmer switch is in the base.. ...

Re: Damned lightbulb burned out AGAIN

PS: I've had everything in there from 60 watt to floodlights
The floodlight behaved very stragely (I thought my ex wife had come back to me all over again to haunt me- HA!) it lasted about 11 months but the damned thing would sometimes go off for no reason... I thought this was due to it heating ...

100w bulb in 40w max desk lamp

I use it to light up paperwork, and sometimes this side of the room... but I noticed it is only rated at 40 watts
Well I've got a 100w bulb in there, when the lamp is right side up, I run the dimmer switch down usually, it's probably running at what 40 50 watts - but when I want this side of the...

Damned lightbulb burned out AGAIN

In a certain light socket here in the house, for some reason bulbs burn out quick fast in a hurry like this: BLAM (A week or 10 days)
I thought something else might be on the same circuit which might be causing surges or something on that order, but that's not the case as far as I'm aware.
I p...
