Anyone ever tried to put an egg in there? Me and a buddy did that once at his house. Blew the door open and egg all over the kitchen cabinets on the other side of the kitchen.

dacflyer, yes that would be the wire. long story short..... I need to switch a relay to supply power to an inverter running a touch screen. I'm still working on that computer for my truck. It's all running but i want to tie it into the CompuSTAR remote starter. It has a couple of optional (-) output...

Car Audio remote turn on current

does anyone have any idea about how much current most car audio head units can supply on the remote turn on wire to the amp? Like could it run say a 200ma load (or less) to run a small relay? I don't want to try this to find ot it will not handle it.

This is all really good info. Thanks to every one of you. I'll shop around for a bit to see where I can get the best deal. I think I’ll use red inside with a couple of white ones on a separate switch and I thought about ganging 2 whites a blue and possibly a green about every foot down the sides. ...

if i am running LED's with the boat off @ lets say 12.0v then i crank it and idle about for a bit. Now the voltage is about 13.7v. Should i just figure the resistor at the highest voltage? Or will there not be that much of a difference to tell?

So it is feasible? How does the mcd rating play in LED’s? is it the amount of lumens given off?

For night swimming and anytime i'm out at night in the boat floating around. The LED's would not be under water. more like on the sides of the boat pointed a little out and mostly down. I wanna see that Musky before he sneeks up on me and bites my toes... lol Seriously, why not? Would like some insi...

light wavelength - through water?

Is it fair to say the shorter the wavelength of light the farther through water light will travel or am I thinking wrong here or was that a brain fart? Does the wavelength differ with the color? Reason I’m curious is I am redoing my boat and considering adding some LED's around the outside facing ...

2n3055 question

Hi all! I am building a dc to 12 dc supply and am using a 2N3055 in it. My problem is i don't know which pins are what on it. The casing is the base correct? I notice the pins are offset to one end of the case and not centered. <small>[ December 29, 2005, 01:46 PM: Message edited by: High4Volts ]</s...

Re: truck battery to 12vdc regulated supply

so the 2 amps is going to pull it way down. Think a 26000 microF would do?
