So, do I have this diagram right? And if so, are simple carbon resistors and ceramic caps a good choice? Just looking for affirmation before I build this project. Thanks.

dyarker, MrAl... I do use a common 12vdc supply for all the scanners and plan to use the same supply to power the amplified Motorola speaker. If I understand you both correctly, I should have things setup as indicated below, right? http://aycu21.webshots.com/image/19780/2004189082976826169_rs.jpg I ...

Until a better schematic shows up ; R1+------10K---------S-------->AMP SPK R2+------10K---------S R3+------10K---------S . . R6+------10K---------S R1+ means radio 1 speaker + terminal. etc S is the sum node, all S tied together fed to the amplified speaker input. Miguel I'm going to try setting it...

Externet, He said he had a Motorola amplified speaker already. So it could be a VHF base station external speaker with 1V line input, or a remote with a 600 Ohm -6dB input, or something else. Big difference! I was asking about the specific unit he has. The Motorola amplified speaker I have is model...

I might could do a schematic next week end if you want (and someone else doesn't do it first). Cheers, A schematic would be fantastic, and much appreciated. For what it's worth, if it simplifies things at all, I do have an amplified Motorola speaker I could use. It has a built in 12w amp and runs o...

Each scanner is dedicated to specific agency, and normally not all are active at the same time. At present, I use 6 external speakers. I'm just looking to conserve on space.

6 Radios to One Speaker?

I want to have 6 radios connected to one speaker and I'm thinking of doing it as indicated in the diagram below.
Will this work OK?
Any downside or technical issues I should be concerned about?
(please excuse the elementary diagram)

Mono to Stereo Line Level Audio Adapter?

I'm trying to tie a mono line level audio output into both L&R stereo inputs of an amplifier, but encountering problems. When I use a "Y" adapter for the mono output and connect it to both L&R inputs on the amp, it kills the audio. If I connect just the single mono output to either...

Re: telephone intercoms with ringer

Just a suggestion... Check this out:
Automatic Telephone Ringdown
Granted, it's $90, but it looks like it'll do what you want and uses just a single copper pair between the instruments.
