Thanks Denny, that works fine. The scanner that I'm trying has an accept and reject lamp. That provides plenty of signal to drive a detector and that allows me to drive a relay. From there it's a piece of cake. Thanks for the ideas.<p>Frank

I have a project coming up and I'll need to detect a barcode. 3 of 9 is prefered but for now any barcode will do and I'll need it to provide or drive a set of dry contacts. You guys are the greatest, Thanks for all the sugestions on temp monitoring. Now I need a flat screen display that will take a line video input. 8 to 10" would be about the right size. A local supplier in the South Alabama would be nice but not necessary. Thanks in advance.<p>Frank

I want to monitor the temperatures of up to 100 different locations and record the temps once or twice a day. I can easily hard wire thermisters from each location to a central point and I can dedicate a PC for data acquisition to this project. Is there an off-the-shelf device that could monitor tha...
