Biggest problem is most "inventors" are bigger dreamers than doers... :-\
The real satisfaction is being somewhere inbetween, or so I would imagine.
And Kudos Bob! Keep making it happen!
[ June 27, 2003: Message edited by: PainGypsy ]

I have them ticking from left to right but what I want is to have them all on when #1 is lit, all but #1 when #2 is lit.. and so on so it seems as a bar m...

c547b = to-92/2n3906 ??
I have a bunch of transistors labeled C547B PH98. I am wondering if I can use them in place of 2N3906. I am building an El Cheapo pic programmer as found in Myke Predko book "Programming PICmicro MCU's. I believe I have some labeled 548 as well. There is also call for a 78L12 and I have a few r...

Are these 7-segment displays?? I'd be interested I am just getting started and at the point of collecting interesting parts. I have a couple displays and have ideas that could use more. I would also need/want driver chips for them. Let me know...

Re: 7 segment driver help
ok, one thing I understand pretty well is binary... I have a stong tcp/ip background. After hooking up some led's to the outs on the counter it seems to be counting DOWN... I don't think it should be doing that. It is definately counting down... if that helps figure this out at all. I also grounded ...

Re: 7 segment driver help
Those are the exact two data sheets I have been using to hook it all up. what if I have nothingon pin 3 or 4, that is how I started, then I hooked the 555 pulse to it... The way I read it, it would basically check the 4024 state on the fall of each clock...? How do I force it to show the state?? and...

Re: -first post- Need help with motorizing a pedal car
Thank you all for the great advice. I love my daughter very much and closely supervise her even if she goes outside, much less if she is riding her pedal car or bike. I have thought about all of the contingencies that you have mentioned andmore.
I have a friend who is a master sheet metal worker ...
