Well, I've worn it once so far. Good responses. Gotta either "remote" the mike from inverter housing or walk around with it in hand, which just kills the cool factor

Zenith tv audio but no video

I have a 8 yr old Zenith 42 inch projection tv model number rz46zb3d8.
The color had been fading for over a month, then video went out. It maintains good audio.
Any ideas out there what might be the problem?

Had the same thing occur with an AD-600A. Used a ratshack cd cleaner and it seems to have solved the problem without me haveing to ever open the unit up.

Re: Old cell phone (S)

F-connector repair

Hey all. I was given an old analog cable box with a problem. The cable-in input (F) looks like someone put a screwdriver into it; the dialetric?? (the white stuff that surrounds the conduit for the cable's conductor) is mostly cored out leaving a large gap. When connecting signal feed, I have to jig...

Re: cable tech help

It's an easy install: Cut + lead (or remove entirely) the battery locted under tuner module (located lower front right of unit, under tuner) wire 1 to 5v; wire 2 to left side of data jumper (w/ front of unit facing you); wire 3 to ground. Remove the jumpers from the outside pins on the QB and wire y...

Re: cable tech help

If you're in an area where multimode is used, you unit wont be able to keep up with updates if the data frequency of settop doesn't match teh caco's. some units (notably the cft-22xx) may actually shut down if it can't receive caco data. In non-mm areas, frequencies needn't match. Hey, if the unit a...

Re: cable tech help

The frequency referred to is the data channel carrier. So no joy. However, it may be possible to change out the crystal, but I don't know it if would be just a simple matter of swapping out. Hmmm.
